Christmas Tree Ornament - Blue Ridge Mountains Series

Solid Colored Porcelain, Lightweight Handmade Christmas Tree Ornament with Hook 
 
Colors inspired by the a wild dogwood tree we observed on a forest walk in the Blue Ridge Mountains on our last RV trip. I mix my colored porcelain by hand, then roll a thin slab and decorate it with random snowflake patterns before cutting each ornament from the slab. After bisque firing, a cobalt oxide wash is brushed into each snowflake impression before my hand-mixed clear glaze is applied and the ornaments are fired one last time to a higher temperature in the glaze kiln. Each item is unique and supplies are limited to what is shown as available in the drop-down menu. These cannot be replicated exactly.
