Mini-Video - Throwing a Vessel for Horsehair Raku Firing

Raku firing is one of my favorite ways to finish a pot. In a horsehair raku firing, a vessel is removed from the raku kiln at about 1300 degrees (F) and decorated by hand with horsehair, feathers and organic materials.
